Insurance and the SEVIS fee are included in the program price. Creating your account is free; the program fee is paid before processing begins.

What every program includes

The same full service for Interns and Trainees.

  • Official DS-2019 form: Your sponsor issues the DS-2019 after approval. For applications through CIEE, CIEE is your sponsor; VisaNerd coordinates your application as its International Representative.
  • SEVIS I-901 fee: the full $220 value is already covered.
  • Upfront payment with a refund if the sponsor declines: The program fee is paid to VisaNerd before processing begins. If the sponsor rejects your application, we refund it, deducting only €250 if a site visit has already taken place. We issue your invoice at the start so we can begin processing after payment. After payment, we handle the application with you, your host company, and the sponsor.
  • Sponsorship safety net: we switch sponsors for you if needed to secure approval.
  • Host company support: we help your US team create the Training Plan (DS-7002).
  • Validated documents: we check your documentation for legal compliance first.
  • Comprehensive US insurance: medical and accident coverage up to $1 million.

Small hosts only: site visit. If your host company has fewer than 25 full-time employees or under 3 million dollars in annual revenue, the US Department of State requires a short site visit. It is carried out by our partner sponsors to verify your host company, making sure it genuinely meets the legal requirements; these days usually as a digital site visit by video call rather than an in-person visit. The 250 € fee is a one-time charge billed separately and is not part of the sponsorship price, because it does not apply to every host. Larger hosts do not pay it.
